Weather at the Wedding Site
In June at the wedding site, the average high temperature is 79°F
and the average low temperature is 50°F. However, June's record high and
low are 110°F (in 1961) and 33°F (in 1982)...bring layers! It is unlikely
to rain; June's average is less than an inch of rain.
New visitors to California will discover that layers are useful during any season in the San Francisco Bay Area. The
fog, sunshine, ocean breezes, and varied topography cause unexpected
changes in temperature over the course of a single day or in different
microclimates, such as from a sandy beach to a shady redwood forest.

What People are Wearing
Because the reception and ceremony will be held outside, we recommend
wearing sunscreen and sunglasses, maybe even a hat. (Sunset on June 7th
is at approximately 8:30 P.M., so the sun will still be strong during
the late afternoon ceremony.)
Rachel will wear a white dress and Jonathan a black tuxedo. Members of the
wedding party will wear whatever they feel makes them look absolutely
fabulous. We encourage all of our guests to wear whatever makes them feel relaxed.
This is a garden wedding; we want you to be comfortable.

Shoes for swing dancing in a 100-year-old barn |
The barn floor is a beautiful but uneven surface made of wide-hewn wooden
boards. Narrow high heels are not recommended for dancing or for walking in
the grass and gravel of the ranch.
There will be minimal walking between the ceremony, reception, and dance,
but a longer (5 minute) walk through a field from the parking area to the ceremony. |
