The summit is 12,147 feet above sea level and accessible via a gradual, wide ridge preceded by a steep climb up talus slopes and granite boulder fields. We move camp to the side of Parsons Peak, then leave our backpacks on a high ledge before attempting to reach the summit with only a few necessities such as snacks and water.
