Data Set Description: This layer contains the locations of fire stations in the City of Oakland.

Non-standard Attributes in table:

• U_ID: Provides the user with a unique indentfying number for each polygon in the layer.
• STATION# = Station ID number as designated by Oakland Fire Department
• ADDRESS = Address of fire station
• ZIP = Fire station ZIP code
• EQUIPMENT = Number and type of fire fighting equipment at each station

Data Source History: The dataset was delivered to OCIS by Capt. Mike Kelly (OFD) as a paper file of station ID numbers, addresses, zip codes, and fire equipment. JuliaHowlett (JRH Consulting) geocoded the addresses using ArcView's geocoding functionality.

Quality Check: All the addresses were successfully geocoded.
